Creator - Jim Lee

Jim Lee is a renowned Korean American comic book artist, writer, editor, and publisher, currently serving as the Chief Creative Officer and Publisher of DC Comics.  He began his professional career in 1987 with Marvel Comics, quickly rising to prominence through his work on titles like The Punisher War Journal and Uncanny X-Men, where he co-created the character Gambit.

In 1991, Lee’s work on X-Men #1 set a record as the best-selling comic book of all time, selling over 8.1 million copies.  The following year, he co-founded Image Comics, where he published his own titles such as WildC.A.T.s and Gen¹³ under his studio WildStorm Productions. 

Lee’s tenure at DC Comics is marked by influential works like the “Batman: Hush” storyline, a 12-issue arc that delved deep into the complexities of the Dark Knight’s character and relationships.  His dynamic and detailed art style has significantly influenced the aesthetic of modern superhero comics.

Beyond his artistic contributions, Lee has played a pivotal role in shaping DC’s creative direction. In 2010, he was named Co-Publisher of DC Comics, and in 2018, he became the Chief Creative Officer, overseeing the development of multimedia adaptations and new publishing initiatives. 

Lee’s impact extends beyond the page; his designs have influenced various adaptations, including animated series and video games, cementing his legacy as a transformative figure in the comic book industry.
